With Holiday music in the background, Chrissy was over and we had a wonderfully peaceful and cozy Thanksgiving meal (part deux, as it was Friday and we had turkey-rama at the Merry’s parents the day before).
HAM!
Anyway … we spent the weekend changing out decorations to our Advent theme and making gift labels from old Christmas cards. I cleaned the scripture stand and we lit the yule log, which for us is actually the trunk of our first Christmas tree together with three brass candleholders mounted into it for use as an advent wreath.
(Gets me thinking — if it wasn’t for Judaism and Pagaism, us Christians wouldn’t have any traditions at all!)
A really lovely and rejuvenating weekend, with only the upcoming stress of thew new business week – wait! It’s already here! Take cover!
