Merry had to work last night at the last minute, so I took Michelle. She wore a really neat old-fashioned outfit, sort of a dress suitable for business attire. We really had a great time, and I ran into several people at our own table who had common friends / aquaintences. We got to talk a lot, dance for half a song, and she won the last prize of the evening. When the lights came on, we both thought it was reminiscent of the end of a high school dance, even though the lights weren’t anywhere near as low to begin with. Then we came home and she visited with Merry and I for a while.

But I have this weird feeling that something was left undone, unsaid. I just can’t put my finger on it … but the evening was both a bit exciting and cathartic at the same time, if you can picture that.
