I’ve been so unfocused lately that it took me a full week to post about it, but sare_liz became a full priest last Friday. It was a wonderful, kinda out-there ceremony, and I got to meet the (Episcopal) Bishop and other interesting people. It was the first ordination I’d ever been to, my first Episcopal mass, and the first time I was a woman acting as priest at the altar. And when I received Communion, it was almost like getting it for the first time again. Congrats, Sarah.
And I intend on taking Chrissy to a mass there when she is presiding so she can see a woman doing mass. If the Spirit ever calls her as such, she needs to be aware that it IS possible for her. And it’s a wonderful parish that I would consider joining myself.
