Spark and Current
There is an uncertain static between us
a tingling
on the tips and edges
that slowly warms the inner cold
There is an uncertain hesitation to touch
for concern the current may burn us
or lock us together in ways unclear
or perhaps set us free (an unnaturally present fear)
There is an uncertain pleasure
in knowing we both hold some charge – limitless potential
an unquenched spark of unreleased energy
that settles to glow in sympathetic resonance
