Chinese New Year started Sunday and on Saturday, I spent the afternoon at McKinley Mall. Red Dragon did Lion dancing and a parade through the mall. I ran point to help clear the crowd, and wore my finest — my red wedding outfit. They had a lot of demos in the central court area, and Kurt and Jean (the organist) showed up — I left choir practice early and they came afterward. I even ran into some of Chrissy’s friends.
Afterward here was a party at the school. I’ll be starting Yang Family Style Tai Chi classes there officially this afternoon. Even though I’m still a “friend of the school” outsider, it’s really starting to feel like home. I’ll even be keeping a “Tai Chi Journal”, but it wont be online right away.
