Well, not really, but they gave me a patch for the “Grand Island Encampment 2006” for teaching Tai Chi at Seven Hills. It was for 10-14 year olds, but some of them seemed under 10. It was a challenge teaching that age group paired with that subject matter, but I pulled it off.
I showed them basic stuff I used over the years, not focusing too much on any one thing. One of them even had experience with Taoist Tai Chi (Kenmore). I walked around (and even got lost) between classes. I also got a chance to start reading Strunk’s with E. B. White as that edition’s editor. The book was given to me by Mark Carra, animal handler and conservationist extrordinaire.
