I got a book in the mail from St. Martin’s Press, since I was a contributor to the book. Totally Wired by Anastasia Goodstein. The thing is I have no idea what I contributed or if they even mentioned me by name.
So I went to do a search … wait … where is the serach feature? How does paper work again? It’s too new to be googlable. My brain just froze. I’m thinking, apart from nostalgia and habit, why would anyone actually look something up in a book? Reading for pleasure or interest, but skimming for a mention you might not find without reading the whole thing? Geez, it’s like we’re still in the dark ages here.
