Dear Abby:
Out of the blue this morning, my wife starting talking about firewall breaching, forced log-offs, DOS attacks and “chat tunnels” – I never even heard of that last one. And recently, I caught her hunting down the physical location of IP addresses based on recent traffic to her site. Adn now she wants to go wireless on her laptop so she can “have some fun” on other people’s networks.
Should I be concerned?
Sincerely,
Domestically Demoted to Beta-Geek in Buffalo
nevermind…
what
Shes becoming a uber-geek wife like me.
Assimilation is futile…..
Re: Um depends on the definition of fun?
I could tell you, but then my wife would have to kill you.
Re: Um depends on the definition of fun?
I’m guessing she means “using other people’s/ccompanies’ wireless internet connections.”
Which I have no problem with, as long as you’re not doing any bandwidth-intense stuff on them (like file sharing, downloading movies etc.)
Um depends on the definition of fun?
What does this “Having fun on other people’s networks” include?? Is that “Networks” as in servers? or “Networks” as in other people’s computers?
