Weeks ago, Jeff & Audrey abandoned their old park bench (which may have belonged to the complex). It was totally beaten up, so I decided to see what I could do with it. First, I used my “mouse” sander to remove the outer layer of grit and worn wood from the planks and back.

Then I replaced one of the planks altogether for being too warped, along with some of the brass hardware – I couldn’t find any ANYWHERE, so I setled for stainless steel. Then I stained it Cherry, using a sponge (the one Alb3rt Alb3rt_s was playing with the other day).

Then I Urethaned it over andd over, after popping off the “Regalia” plate, dremmeling an elongated crest shape out of the area, and woodburning our “Ken & Merry” mark.

Everyone loves it, and I’m impressed how nice it came out.
