Now it's THREE tailights ($80 each) lost because my Nissan never had a bumper. (1) Hit by plow pulling me out of a ditch (2) Tapped an oversized van sticking out of the space behind me, causing a "scuff" that was reported to insurance (3) Backed out blind in the apartment parking lot hitting someone exiting the lot, also damaging tailgate And the pumps stopped for my wife at the gas station this morning...
Kitchen Remodel
Called the guy who was to put in the floor today as lunchtime approached. He forgot. He can't come out until Tuesday. Of course, this is AFTER we filled up our entire living room with stuff from the kitchen. But I decided to make the best of it. It’s been an amazing week.
A lot has happened. Friday, we lost all the games again in Volleyball, one a shutout due to half the team being drunk, and the other half irritated that we made fools of ourselves. Saturday, I went down to the Dunkirk lighthouse (for the first time) for a veterans service, along with craft fair and re-enactors from various wars and time periods. I used this as an excuse to take care of the family graves (finally)....
Erie County Fair
Been to it every night with Mer since I got back. Got to hug goats and Nino the Clown tonight. But it's too freaking hot. The 78-85 degrees here is hell compared to the 90s in Utah. My theory about humidity proves true. I'll be posting an online trip album soon ...
Volleyball
I had my first volleyball match today. I'm on the Southtowns Animal Hostpital team, "Newman's Angels" and we play at Holidays on Harlem road on Fridays. We lost three games in a row to the top team that evening ... six of us against a foursome a bit past our age. But it was fun. I look forward to doing it, although next week I will be in Utah ...
Leftovers … again.
Look what I have to put up with. My wife constantly apologizes for "throwing something quickly together" from whatever is available. But it often looks like this: And it tastes at least as good. My First Lightsaber
Today I constructed my first lightsaber. I am currently helping instruct at the local Jedi Academy (www.TheNorthRidge.com). This past week …
I've been on vacation with my daughter and we've done a lot of stuff. One of the highpoints was going to Niagara on the Lake and The Buttery. We did the whole Henry VIII banquest and I got to play a bull. Don't ask if you haven't been there. It was a fortune, but worth the money. Just don't excahnge your money into Canadian locally - total ripoff. Use credit cards and everything comes out just right, taes reimbused...
